When Heath and I told his family that we would be having our first baby 8 years ago, everyone was so excited. The potential for bringing a little girl into a family that had been dominated by boys for so long was very exciting. Heath's mom got so excited that she bought some hot pink patent leather boots as the babies first of many many gifts. Several months later we found out that our first born would be a son. There was no love lost on this news, but the boots were put on the shelf. Karston was born in Oct. and everyone immediatley loved the new baby in the family more than any of us thought was possible. Years later, we announced that again we were pregnant. Again the Hot Pink Patent Leather Boots came out. Again several months later we gave the news that we would be having another boy. The boots go on the shelf again. Josiah was born and immediatley we all knew that this was one special baby. But then four years go by and we again announce that we are pregnant. This time the boots stayed on the shelf for several months. Finally the news came that we were having a GIRL! Alyssa was given the boots and when she finally was big enough to wear them I attempted to put them on her. Only to find that for all these years these boots have been two different sizes. How dissapointing.
We went for a hike at Moraine Hills State Park. We mostly walked around "Lake Defiance." It is a beautiful place to enjoy all of Falls beautiful colors even the Hot Pink on Alyssa's boots.

Well, those boots were made for walking. Even though they aren't the same size, she still look so cute in them.
