Our Girls Weekend away...

Every year my sister and I get the opportunity to take off and go South to meet up with our girlfriends from our past and have a relaxed and fun Girl's Getaway! These are friends that we have known since childhood and grown up with most of our growing years!

This year was our 3rd getaway and was more relaxing than usual. Two of our friends are now pregnant with their first babies and while there was much excitement and anticipation surrounding us, we also were very content to just hang out at the cabin and relax as we talked about the many things going on in our lives.

We did get out one afternoon and attempt a trip up to Pigeon Forge, TN. If you have never been there you must go just to expierence the random absurdities in that town. It is one big TOURIST area. We did make it to dinner but with all the traffic and all of our tummies full, we thought it best that we go back to the cabin and relax with a movie.

The next day we attempted a trip out to the overlook in Townsend, TN. It was a bit cloudy out and drizzling rain, so we quickly posed for pictures and then got back into the car. We did find a "Special People's Park" and could not resist the photo opportunities that called for.

Since the rain pushed us back indoors we decided that the best way to get some exercise was to try a Pilate's video. It just so happened that we had one of those with us. Well, it was a Pregnancy Pilates video but that didn't stop us nonpreggies. Yes, I was eating a doughnut while we did our work out! It was meant to just be funny but after I took the first bite, I had to finish the whole thing right?

We had a great weekend and as always we were relaxed and rejuvenated enough to return to our families and routines back home.
