A week of Thanks...

Thanksgiving...

Giving thanks...

Thanks.

Some say it with poems. Some say it with music. Some say with great sentiment. Some say it with grace and affection. Some say it with remorse and grief. No matter how or why we say it, we give thanks.

This last week we saw friends we haven't seen in years, we spent time with family that we have been missing for a long long time and we reveled in the warm air that breathed our childhood memories upon us. We watched as our family enjoyed the time that they spent with our children and how each child responded with such love and admiration.

It was a time of reflection and a time of rest as we got away from the hussle and bussle of our normal every day lives. It was a time for catching up and a time for letting go. There were days of quiet and days of joyous chatter. There were days of adventure and days of pure rest.

As we drove through the endless countryside from the Mid West to the South East, the excitement built and the anticipation grew stronger and stronger. The warmth that came with every welcoming hug, melted our hearts and made us grateful to be back home. Seeing the joy in our parents eyes as their hearts rejoiced to have their families all together under one roof.

It was a safe and happy holiday!

Having to leave everyone was so sad and yet we knew that no matter how far we go or for how long we are away, the love of our families and our friends will follow us and keep us close for another year.

I am not going to post all of the pictures here. You can see them all on Facebook.
