Spontaneous Saturday

My wonderful Husband had last Saturday off of work for the first time in a long while. We had great plans of yard work, and other outdoor chores. I was happy to be doing "work" on his day off, as long as we all "worked" together as a family.
When we woke up on Saturday morning, Heath told me that he had heard of a huge Flea Market in Wisconsin and would like for us to go there and check it out. This would also give the boys a chance to spend their chore money that had been burning a hole in their pockets. I agreed, knowing that the yard work would not get done, but that my family would still be enjoying the day together. So we quickly motivated the kids to get dressed and into the car.

After an unexpectedly long car ride, we finally made it to the 7 Mile Flea Market! We got in for free just because we got there between 11:00am and Noon on Saturday, that was a nice surprise. We walked in the door and Alyssa and I gasped as we saw the most beautiful little Princess dresses hanging in front of us. The boys eyes lit up as well at the sight of toy guns and real cell phones. Heath decided to use this as a learning experience for the boys and told them that they could look at anything, but they couldn't buy until we were ready to leave so that they knew they were getting what they really wanted.
We walked around looking at everything and then came to a huge inflatables playground area। Parents were not allowed in the play zone, so Heath and I got some
ice cream and watched from afar. I loved watching my family be happy and spend time together. When it was time to go, the boys had made a decision that what they wanted was Air soft Guns. So they each bought one for four dollars each and Alyssa found a toy puppy that really barks and just had to have it. Heath was upset because he didn't buy an Air soft gun for himself.
We are all looking forward to going back soon and we doing all of our chores during the week so that we have the money to spend on so many other fun things.
